about

2009) junto a Joe Bataan.
Miguelito Superstar (Fundación Tony Manero) & Manuel Dabove
latin funk, salsa o boleros.
fecha: "Live At Jamboree" (Sátelite K 2015).

Less than two decades ago, Los Fulanos was born, a group
of renowned musicians from the Barcelona scene united to
claim the most Latino side of black music. Los Fulanos are
synonymous with boogaloo. With no other arguments than
their love for the genre, Los Fulanos regenerated the Barcelona
Latin soul scene recreating classics by Ray Barretto, Joe
Bataan or Pete Rodriguez. The sonic gunpowder from their
concerts spread throughout the state and led them to contact
the Vampi Soul record company, recording a trilogy of highly
valued singles for the label. At the same time, they contacted
the architect of the renaissance of the rumba culture Txarly
Brown who urged them to collaborate with figures of the stature
of Chacho or Peret in the successive volumes of "Achilifunk"
(Lovemonk 2007 and 2009). The recognition within the musical
circuit as "authentic innovators of the genre" led them to record
the LP "King Of Latin Soul" (Vampi Soul 2009) together with
Joe Bataan. After five years recreating the golden stage of
boogaloo, Los Fulanos decided to record "Si Esto Se Acaba
Let The Boogaloo Follow" (Lovemonk 2012), an album with
their own songs produced by Miguelito Superstar (Tony Manero
Foundation) & Manuel Dabove where they explore their Afro-
Latin roots including Latin funk, salsa or bolero numbers. After
performing at international festivals such as Tempo Latino (Vic
Fezensac-France), Ilosaarirok (Joensuu-Finland) or the BAM
from (Barcelona) set out to capture all that live energy in their
latest release to date: "Live At Jamboree" (Satelite K 2015).
Since then, silence...
